Motorola has pinned her last, best hopes on Android. The Cliq will be the first of their new phones to hit the market, and thus represents the ailing manufacturer's first chance at salvation. Moto said we could look forward to seeing the Cliq in stores before the holidays, but that is a very vague term. Today, thanks to Boy Genius we have a much more exact idea of when we'll see this new Android smartphone.
Apparently the first units will ship out to T-Mo corporate stores on September 29th. That means that the Cliq itself can look forward to an early/mid-October launch. We could see this new smartphone in stores in less than a month! Pricing information is not out yet but, as we noted earlier, it seems likely that the Cliq could come free with a 2 year contract.
