If you're soon to be in the market for a high-end “luxury” smartphone, the upcoming Nokia Erdos could be exactly what you have in mind. This new mobile leaked out in a promo video, and Boy Genius managed to nab a list of the specs.
First off, the Erdos has polished aluminium casing that's designed to match with its 2.4” QVGA OLED screen. Nothing says 'sybaritic excess' like OLED. When you slide the phone out, you reveal its keyboard and a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, a Carl Zeiss lens and a dual LED flash. It's got an (8 GB) microSD slot, WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth, a noise-reducing mic, and HSPA connectivity. The OS is supposedly S60, Maemo is too much to hope for out of an 88xx series handset.
The Erdos is a pretty gorgeous mobile, but it's also bound to be an expensive one. No price or release date information is out yet, but you can expect this 'luxury' phone to have a 'luxury' price tag.
