AMD announced today a highly interesting new desktop CPU for the mainstream market. The Quad-core AMD Athlon II X4 is priced under $100 which is quite a bit cheaper than Intel's Quad-core offering. If the AMD Athlon II X4 performance is good enough for Windows 7 and today's HD media apps the reviews listed below should give us that answer.
