With the launch of the PS3 Slim, and the upcoming release of the 250 GB PS3 Slim, Sony gamers can look forward to a fine fall season. All of the console manufacturers are pushing it into high gear over the next few months, as the holidays offer them a chance to lift the industry up out of this slump.

Here are a few of this year's upcoming titles for the PS3 that I think are going to be the hot sellers. Check them out in more detail at IGN.com.

PS3 Releases:

September:
Katamari Forever, by Namco Bandai will hit on the 22nd, while Zombie Apocalypse will be out on the 24th. Ninja Gaidan Sigma 2 by Techmo comes on the 29th, rounding things off with a badass ninja fighting game.

October:
Atlas is bringing out Demon Souls, NBA 2K10, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising on the 6th. Star Wars: The Clone Wars Republic Heroes will be out the same day. EA's highly anticipated Rock'n Roll RPG "Brutal Legend" hits on the 13th, Uncharted 2 is out on the same day. Borderlands, an RPG action game with vehicular combat, will launch on the 20th. Alpha Protocol, DJ Hero, Rogue Warrior, and Tekken Six will all roll out on the 27th. That's one hell of a capstone for the month.

November:

Band Hero is the big game this month, it'll be out on the 3rd. So will Blur and LEGO Rock Band (which sounds terribly entertaining) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition will be out the very next day.

November 10th will see the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Chaotic: Shadow Warriors, and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast. The 17th will be the biggest day of the month; Assassins Creed II, Planet 51, and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues will all hit, as will Tony Hawk: Ride and its new skateboard controller.

Avatar: The Game will be out on the 24th, and Star Trek: D-A-C will hit sometime before the end of the month.

December:
The December release schedule is largely unsettled and still subject to change. The Saboteur, a WW2 stealth-action game by Pandemic is set to hit on the 8th, and Guitar Hero: Van Halen arrives on the 22nd.

PSP Releases:

September:
Obscure: The Aftermath is out on the 22nd, Beaterator is due on the 29th.

October:
The 1st is the big release day for this month. We'll get FMX, Fieldrunners, Gran Turismo, Hero of Sparta, Rock Band Unplugged Lite, the Tetris reboot, and Square's Thexder NEO.

The 6th sees the colon-heavy Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising as well as NBA 2K10 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars releases on the 20th, along with Marvel Super Hero Squad. Ben 10: Alien Force is out on the 27th.

November:
F1 2009 comes on the 3rd, along with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron. Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines hits on the 17th, along with Lego Indiaia Jones Adventures 2: The Legend Continues and LittleBigPlanet PSP. Avatar the Game comes along on the 24th, as does Tekken 6.

December:
As with the PS3, the December line-up for the PSP is far from settled. Here's what we know so far; Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is out on December 8th, and Alien Havoc will be along later in the month. That's all the solid info we have.
