Take that, PS3 Slim. Microsoft has already announced the price cut that brought the Xbox 360 Elite down to $299. Now, for a limited time, it's going even lower. Gizmodo reports that, until 10/5, the 360 Elite is only $250.
Now there's one caveat here. The $50 off comes in the form of a mail-in rebate. That's always a little annoying to deal with, but well worth the extra savings. To take advantage of this deal, check here.
