AMD unveiled today the new ATI Radeon HD 5870 and HD5850 high end graphics cards that support the new Windows 7 DirectX 11.
Several hardware sites already got their hands on the ATI Radeon HD 5870 and published performance analysis and reviews of the new ATI HD 5800 Series cards.
The reviews of the ATI Radeon HD 5870 lead to promising results putting NVIDIA on the spot to deliver something to beat the new ATI Cards. Tweaktown writes: "So that's our first HD 5870 and to be honest the card is a whole lot better than I expected it to be. The HD 5870 really had to do one thing; that was beat the NVIDIA GTX 285. The thing about that, though, is it had to do that one thing well. The good news? It does; it manages to do it very well."
