Wii Price Cut: $199 Starting Sept 27th

Buy Nintendo Wii from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

Today we have even more information about the rumored Nintendo Wii price cuts. Engadget has stumbled upon an internal Best Buy memo titled, "Wii Price Drop Coming". The memo states that, on Sept. 27th, a new ad will come out displaying a $199.99 Wii. The new price will be effective for all Wii's as of this Sunday. The official announcement will be made on Friday, Sept. 25th.

The note also warned employees not to tell customers about the price drop, presumably to keep them from holding off on purchases they would otherwise make. At any rate, this Friday we get final confirmation of the price cut, and by Sunday we'll be up to our ears in discounted Nintendos. Anyone else have some holiday shopping to do?
