Samsung unveiled the Samsung Corby S3650 Phone for the young Facebook generation earlier this month. Today Samsung adds the Samsung Corby TXT B3210 and Samsung Corby PRO B5310.
The two new Corby phones are differentiated by key features, including messaging, multimedia entertainment and business functionality, but also deliver the original Corby’s trademarks of bold colors, pop-style contours and a curved form factor.
The Samsung Corby TXT is a message-centric mobile for heavy texters, delivering easy-to-use SMS and IM (Instant Messenger) features as well as intuitive social media uploading functionality. The Samsung Corby TXT also offers a full QWERTY keyboard on the face of the phone.
Other features of the Corby TXT include 2.2” QCIF 262K TFT-LCD screen, Cartoon UI, One finger zoom, Smart Unlock, 2 Megapixel CMOS Camera, Quad Band connectivity and USB.
The Samsung Corby TXT will be available in most European countries by the end of September.
The Samsung Corby PRO is a hybrid slider which takes the design of the original Samsung Corby and adds a full, slide out QWERTY keyboard.
The slide out QWERTY keyboard provides its owners with a finger-friendly messaging and emailing experience without sacrificing the style of the original Corby. It also combines the features business users demand with a variety of entertainment and multimedia capabilities, all delivered in a stylish design. Features include push email services, conversational SMS and access to Facebook and MySpace.
Other features of the Corby PRO include 2.8” TFT 16M QVGA Full touch screen, HSDPA connectivity, FM Radio with RDS, 3MP Camera, Wifi, Bluetooth, Cartoon UI, One Finger Zoom, Smart Unlock and USB.
The Samsung Corby PRO will be launched in Europe during November and will soon be expanded to other markets.
The Samsung Corby line is an interesting way to market smartphones as a fun product to consumers that find iPhones and BlackBerries as too boring.
It may seem an insensitive thing to say, but this was an accident waiting to happen. A young man, his ears probably filled with music, was run over by a locomotive at Kurla station even as people watching in horror screamed at him to get off the tracks. ...
