Sony announced that retail sales of its new PS3 Slim CECH-2000 reached 1 million in the first 3 weeks world-wide.
The Sony PS3 Slim was officially launched on September 1st, albeit Amazon shipped the Slim a week early in the United States.
The one million sales mark is great news for Sony. It means that many gamers were waiting for the $100 price-cut to get into the PS3 gaming realm.
The Holiday shopping season could turn out pretty well for Sony. The PS3 Slim is a hot console and the 250GB PS3 Slim Bundles will surely drive even more sales. The first official 250GB PS3 Slim Pack was also announced yesterday at the TGS 2009.
