Congratulations, iPhone users! After years and years of waiting, the stars are finally right. AT&T launches MMS for the iPhone today. Soon you'll be able to send out MMS messages to your heart's content! Boy Genius notes that, while the press release isn't out yet, we have AT&T's Facebook page to draw our info from.
"MMS Update: We know you’ve been eager for this service so we wanted to offer a quick update on the launch plans for MMS on Friday, Sept. 25. Late morning, Pacific Time, on Friday, the new carrier settings update enabling MMS should be live and ready to download through iTunes. We’ll provide the steps and all of the details you need right here at that time."
So today, late morning Pacific time. Currently the Wall of AT&T's Facebook is filled with hundreds upon hundreds of iPhone users complaining about the tardiness of the update. It could end up being a bit of a wait, but unless AT&T's decided to change their mind about enabling MMS, you'll all have your update before the day is out.
