HTC Tattoo Hits Vodafone in October

Hey, UK Android fans, guess what could be hitting your shores in just a few more days! Talk Android has information that the HTC Tattoo will be coming to Vodafone sometime this October. The new smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 1.6 (Donut).

The Tattoo packs a standard 528 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 2.8" resistive touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, and a microSD card reader. Information on pricing and the exact launch date has not been released yet, but the Tattoo has already been added to Vodafone's coming soon page.

If you're in the market for a mid-range Android smartphone, the Tattoo looks like an excellent buy. It's got a solid processor and enough RAM to handle updates for the forseeable future. The touchscreen is on the small side, but that's really the only big issue this phone has. I'll be very surprised if Vodafone offers it for more than $100-$150 with a 2-year contract/data plan.
