If you are one of the millions of viewers that watch TV with Freeview, you will need to retune your settop box to be able to continue to receive all available channels. The retune is part of the upgrade of the digital terrestrial TV platform to make Five more available and to prepare for Freeview HD launch.
The new upgrade and retune will allow 500,000 homes to receive Five for the first time. Many viewers on the service will also get a new channel called the Quest channel after the retune.
The downside to the retune is that about 460,000 homes are expected to lose access to ITV3 and ITV4 after the retune. Freeview also says that about 20,000 older receivers won’t work at all after the retune.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
