Palm has announced that the latest webOS update for the Pre is now available. The new update takes webOS to version 1.2 and adds numerous new features like the ability to synchronize the information with a users LinkedIn profile and download files through the phone browser.

The update also adds seamless music download capability via the Amazon online store along with cut and paste emails and web pages. The update also adds a new range of features for enterprise users. Some of the features offer enforcement for security policies for accessing Microsoft Exchange accounts.

Email search is now featured and the handset can get directions from Google maps and transfer the contacts inside the phone to Toyota and Lexus car kits. Credit cards can also be stored in profiles in preparation for paid apps.
