Earlier today we reported on rumors that the Palm Pre would be out later this month, on October 20th. However, Engadget disagrees with this rumor. They claim that undisclosed sources in a position to know state that the Pixi will not be out on the 20th.
While no specific dates were mentioned, Engadget says the Pixi should still be released well before the holidays. Neither of these rumors have any independent verification. It's probably best to assume that the Pixi will be out at some point between late October and Thanksgiving. And, if Palm's smart, this mini-webOS smartphone will be free (or very cheap) with a plan.
