The BlackBerry fans have high hopes on the upcoming Storm 2. The BlackBerry Storm was RIM's first touchscreen BlackBerry that actually sold very well, but got bad reviews. The new BlackBerry Storm 2 is supposed to fix this.
PhoneArenda got their hands on a pre-production BlackBerry Storm 2 and published a detailed review of that unit. The Storm 2 (9550) now has four sensors to register your touch on the still unique clickable screen.
The design of the Storm 2 is pretty similar to the original Storm. PhoneArena's verdict on the BlackBerry Storm 2: "The screen technology is undoubtedly better, and the display quality itself is just as good as the first time around. In our opinion, even if RIM nails SurePress perfectly, it’s simply a technology we aren’t much interested in."

According to a leaked Best Buy inventory screen (BoyGenius) Verizon Wireless will launch the BlackBerry Storm 2 on or around October 25th.
BoyGenius reported today about leaked slides that show that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be available at Target and Sam's Club amongst other new smartphones from Verizon Wireless.
