We get more quad-core laptop gaming goodness this week with the MSI GT740, a 17" beast with a Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTS 250M graphics card (with 1 GB DDR3 VRAM), HDMI out, 2.0 megapixel webcam, and Bluetooth. According to Electronista this laptop also packs up to 4 GB of RAM, in addition to a 4-in-1 memory card reader. Its hard drive ranges from 250GB to 500GB.
At 7 lbs, no one is going to mistake the GT740 for a netbook. With 5 SRS-capable speakers (one of which is a subwoofer) no one is going to mistake it for sounding like one either. Pricing and availability aren't out yet. Considering the fact that this notebook runs Win 7, we know it has to launch at some point on or after October 22nd.
