Apparently, a couple of journalists tricked Digg founder Kevin Rose into unveiling that Digg was getting ready to launch an app for the iPhone. Rose was reportedly caught playing with the app while making a guest appearance in London at the Future of Web Apps conference.
Digg making an iPhone app is hardly a surprise given the popularity of the iPhone. The app is expected to have a built-in browser since the iPhone can only run one thing at a time.

The app is expected to have much more functionality than the mobile version of the website. Rose also said that Digg would be changing the number of categories on its website to be sure that only the best stories make it to the front page.
