The first level of security that the SSDs offer is password protection with an encrypted password. The password keeps hackers from accessing the data on the drive. The second level of protection is a new hardware randomizing technology.
This technology happens automatically with every write to prevent copying blocks of data. The security features don’t affect the performance of the drive. The drive also has wear-leveling tech and offers read speeds of up to 230MB/sec and sequential write speeds of 180MB/sec. All drives in the line use MLC flash and the drive can be had in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities with priced ranging from $219 to $1649.
