Besides the new Sony VAIO X Sony also announced the new VAIO CW Windows 7 powered notebook line today.
The Sony VAIO CW Series notebook features a 14-inch (diagonal) widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio in a thin-and-light chassis. Sony offers the VAIO CW in blue, pink, red, black and white. You can equip the CW with a Blu-ray drive.

Other features of the Sony VAIO CW Windows 7 notebook include HDMI out, NVIDIA GeForce GPU, up to 8GB RAM, up to 500GB HDD, and Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.

The Sony VAIO CW series notebook starts at about $780. The CW will be available at the end of the month from Sony Style.

The announcements of new Windows 7 notebooks have just begun. Hold on to your hat as many more Windows 7 computers will be announced over the next couple weeks leading up the Windows 7 launch on October 22nd.
