Kingston Digital has announced the release of the new MobileLite G2 flash card reader. The reader is compatible with Mac and PCs and supports most major popular memory card formats. The device can read SD, SDHC, microSD, microSDHC, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Pro-HG Duo, and M2 formats.

The little reader has retractable covers on each side to protect the USB connector and the flash memory slot from damage. It also ships with a lanyard and a short extension cable to make it easy to reach USB plugs on your computer.

The little reader measures 2.45" x 1.16" x 0.646" and works with USB 1.1 and 2.0 ports. The device can be purchased alone or with a 4GB or 8GB class 4 SDHC card. The card reader itself sells for $11, the reader with a 4GB SD card sells for $28.50 and the reader with 8GB SDHC card sells for $46.
