The Windows 7 launch is on October 22nd, but the OEM versions of Windows 7 are already broadly available in Germany.
The Windows 7 OEM versions are aimed at small system builders. In Germany they are allowed to sell OEM versions without hardware. As Microsoft already delivered the Win7 OEM versions they are now sold by a large number of hardware stores.
Check for instance the listing on German price comparison site Geizhals for Windows 7 OEM versions.
The prices for the Windows 7 Home Premium OEM version start at around 70 Euro. The retail version sells for comparison at 120 Euro on Amazon.
In the U.S. the Windows 7 OEM versions are offered for pre-order on NewEgg, but not shipping yet.
