Most doctors say you need around a half hour of moderate physical exertion a day, five days a week, to stay healthy. If you're one of those people who shoots for a half hour a day, you probably have no use for this badass new Personal Measurement Device from Ripxx. However, if you're the special breed of fitness nut who loves to run ten miles in the driving snow or go on three hour bike rides in the pouring rain, this PMD might be just what you're looking for.
Once secured to the athlete's body, the Ripxx PMD measures your speed and rate of acceleration, as well as a variety of location data (latitude, longitude, altitude). The device uses all of this info to provide athletes with a complete look at their work-out and performance details. If you're a skiier or snowboarder, you can use the Ripxx PMD to watch a 3rd person representation of your run on a realistic map.
If this PMD sounds like your kind of gadget, it's available for pre-order now. The cost has been set at $329. For more details, check out the Ripxx website.
