Rumors over the last days point towards Apple releasing a new Apple iMac today. John Gruber attributes the new iMac to be "impressive".
Up till now nothing really tangible about the new iMac Fall 2009 has been rumored. Blu-ray was in then out again. The design of the new iMac is supposed to be thinner and also an SD card slot is rumored, but is all that impressive?
Impressive would be if Apple unleashes a multi-touch iMac to retake the innovation lead in the All-In-One PC segment that currently HP owns with their line of TouchSmart PCs.
I would be impressed if Apple unveils a new Apple iMac that is running on Intel Core i7 CPU, offers SSD storage option, Multi-touch screen and is thin and silent. Blu-ray is nice to have, but not needed to impress me.
More Apple iMac News.
Update: New Apple iMac got unveiled, 27-inch and Core i7! - No Touchscreen, but multi-touch Magic Mouse.
