As you may have read, the Apple Store just went down for updating. In our world, that can mean only one thing; a bunch of new toys are about to go on sale. And, thanks to tips received by AppleInsider, we have a pretty good idea of just what those toys are.
We should be looking at two new Mac minis, one of which will have 2 hard drives and no optical drive. If that turns out to be true, it could go down as a watershed moment for the industry. Optical drives are seen as increasingly unnecessary...Apple helped to herald the death knell of the floppy when they stopped adding diskette drives to their macs. Could the same thing be happening now with the optical drive?
We should be getting new iMacs as well, along with new AirPorts and Time Capsules. Here's the parts list AppleInsider received, so you can see for yourself;
