Yesterday we reported about the upcoming Samsung Plasma 3D TVs. We featured the top of the line Samsung PN63C8000 3D TV, which has an MSRP of $3,799.98. If that price-tag is too high for you then check out the Samsung PN50C7000 3D TV, which sells for $1,799.99 on Amazon and will ship on April 2nd.
Crutchfield has actually a better deal and sells the PN50C7000 for $1619.99, but they do not specify a shipping date yet.
Compared to the PN63C8000, the PN50C7000 lacks Motion Judder Canceller, which provides a smooth picture on film-based sources, Real Black Filter, which improves picture contrast and black levels as well as a Calibration Mode for experts.
How dramatic these features improve the image compared to the C7000 is not clear yet.
What is clear is that bigger is better for an immersive 3D experience and what the first tests show is that Plasma is better for 3D than LCD.
