The company has a new wireless video surveillance system that uses 2.4GHz wireless technology for interference free connectivity, the line includes a 3.5-inch portable wireless video monitor, a 7-inch wireless video monitor, indoor/outdoor wireless cameras, and a compact wireless camera. The system can support one monitor and up to four cameras.
Uniden also announced new waterproof floating 2-way radios. The radios are built to JIS-7 standards and can be submersed in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The devices have a maximum range of 28 miles and allow for 6270 channel combinations. The wireless video system starts at $199.99 with a 3.5-inch monitor and a camera, and a bundle with a monitor and a pair of indoor/outdoor cameras sells for $299.99. Individual cams cost $99.99. The radios sell for $89.99 to $99.99.
