Have you ever wanted to run your own Internet TV station, broadcasting shows and reports and whatnot all day long? If so, it might behove you to read up on Flumotion, a streaming media company that's trying to make it easier than ever to broadcast yourself across cyberspace. Flumotion is a Barcelona-based tech company that has just launched a new service, primarily intended to allow small businesses to set up streaming video channels with greater ease than ever before.
Flumotion's main goal seems to be the removal of as many barriers to entry as possible. They have a "Configurator" tool that guides the client through every step of setting up a streaming video channel. Basically, this tool will allow small businesses without access to the resources of a dedicated IT team the ability to still handle the complex tasks of broadcasting streaming video.
The cost is cheap too. Users can choose to pay a lump sum one-time fee, or they can do a monthly subscription. At 39.97€/month, Flumotion's prices are low enough for even individuals to afford without too much difficulty. Anyone planning on indulging their inner-news anchor?
