It is October and there is still time to unveil new products for the Holidays. Nintendo for instance will still unveil a Black Wii this Holidays also in the United States. I cannot believe that Europe and Asia get a black Wii and not the United States. I am getting side tracked, back to the topic. Apple is apparently done with new product announcements for the holidays. Gizmodo reports that Phil Schiller said "The holiday lineup is set."
This is actually an Apple confirmed quote as the story on Gizmodo raised their interest. Apple made sure that the quote was correct.
For me this still means a possible surprise unveiling of an iPod touch with camera. A camera iPod touch is not a new product lineup, just a new model. The iPod touch with camera is totally missing and I would be surprised if Apple does not bring an updated iPod touch to market.
Have you used any of the augmented reality apps on the iPhone 3GS? They are really awesome and you cannot use them on the iPod touch.
While adding a camera, a GPS and a compass would be good too.
