Acousticom announced plans to release their 70s style Sound Egg chair at the CES 2010 in January.
The 5.1 Surround Sound Egg is designed to isolate sound inside and out, similar to wearing a pair of headphones.
The Sound Egg can be configured to Stereo, and can be used as a personal sound booth. The Sound Egg has Studio Speaker Qualities as they can completely replace the expensive large speakers. Additionally the Sound Egg has a 10" sub woofer.
Acousticom imagines you playing Rock Band, Call of Duty, or Halo sitting in the Sound Egg. The sound is supposedly more realistic and immersive.
The Sound Egg is already shipping from the Acousticom site for $1,450.
