Most MIDs tend to have pretty anemic hardware. Not so with the Soyea MID Z5 (Engadget). This bad boy dual-boots Windows XP and Linux, which should satisfy the hardcore open source geeks among us. In addition to the unique OS combo, the Z5 has some pretty intense hardware.

Take a 1.2 GHz Atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, an 8 GB SSD, a microSD slot, a webcam, VGA port, and a mini USB. If that doesn't leave you gasping for breath, the price sure as hell will; around $879 from Amazon China. The 3G is through China Telecom, but I'm sure any American nerd willing to shell out that kind of cash for this thing will be able to figure out a workaround.
