The device has a pair of USB ports that can connect to IEEE11073 USB, Bluetooth, and Zigbee medical sensors and send data in real time. The sensors can be used for things like real time blood sugar monitoring and to send heart rate readings.
The SHG Series router has dual Ethernet and dual USB ports for fail-over protection with fixed or mobile broadband. The USB ports can handle wireless modems and the router is 802.11n capable. Full security features including WPA and WPA 2 are supported.
