Some information on the new upcoming Sony TVs has leaked. One of the leaked models has OLED in the name.
According to slides leaked on HDTVLounge (Via OLED-Display) Sony will add an OLED TV to its ZX series. The Sony ZX series is currently composed of the ultra-thin (9.99mm) Sony KDL-40ZX1 (shown in photo; available in UK).
The only OLED TV Sony currently offers is the tiny XEL-1 OLED TV for over $2,000. LG launched a 15-inch OLED TV this week, which is now the world's largest commercially available OLED TV. If Sony wants that crown back they need to top that, maybe CES 2010 is the venue for the introduction of a new Sony OLED TV.
What is for certain is that several manufacturers will exhibit OLED TVs again, but the only ones that count are the OLED TVs that we can buy now.
