If you want a crazy-powerful media laptop with full active-shutter 3D glasses, you might want to think Asus. According to Digitimes they're about to unveil a new 17.3" 3D notebook in the first quarter of 2010. This notebook will pack a Core i7 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GTM 160M GPU, 4 GB of memory, and two 320 GB hard drives. They're also working on a 15.6" 3D notebook, which should launch mid-November and pack the same hardware as the 17.3" model. These Asus 3D notebooks won't come cheap. They have a more expensive (but much, much better looking) approach to 3D, which raises notebook cost accordingly. We can probably expect the 17.3" version of this product to come in with a price tag close to $1,000.
