Ladies and gentlemen, the rumor fairies were right! The HP dv8 has just launched over in Taiwan, and Digitimes has the confirmed specs. First off, we're looking at a quad-core i7-720QM CPU, an Nvidia graphics card with 1GB of video memory, 4 GB of DDR3, and a 1 TB hard drive. The display will be 18", and the optical drive will be a Blu-ray. It sounds pretty intense...and so does the price. Over in Taiwan this bad boy will set you back NT$72,900, which works out to around $2,269 USD. The actual price when it launches in the states will probably be significantly lower. The US launch date and cost have yet to be announced, but we should be hearing something soon. In the mean time, enjoy the eye-candy.
