The Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj is unique so far. Nikon announced the launch of this camera in August with its unprecedented feature of integrated projector grabbing a lot of attention. The COOLPIX S1000pj allows users to view and share photos
and videos with the help of personal projection. The 2.7-inch wide viewing-angle TFT LCD monitor and 12.1 effective megapixels enable this sleek and elegant camera to produce and display crisp, high resolution images.
The Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj employs EXPEED, Nikon’s own image processing concept
and is equipped with ISO 6400 sensitivity, which provides for desirable image
quality. The wide-angle 5x zoom NIKKOR lens allows you to enjoy great
flexibility when it comes to taking photographs. The outer casing, constituted by
anodized black or aluminum silver, gives the camera gloss and enhanced appeal.
The one touch projection feature is what really separates the Nikon COOLPIX
S1000pj from its competitors. No matter where you are, the built-in projector
gives you the power to project your photos or movie clips to a size of up to 40
inches. You can choose to view your pictures either individually or you can set
up a slide show. With the option to add music or effects to the projection, you
are set to have a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Nikon has also supplied a remote control with its Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj that
allows users to wirelessly operate the projector. The remote control can also be
used to operate the usual functions of the camera, which provides increased value
to the camera. A projection stand is also provided that can optimize your
viewing while using the personal projection feature. The COOLPIX S1000pj also
features D-Lighting, SD/SDHC card slot and 16 scene modes. Its dimensions are
99.5 x 62.5 x 23 mm and it weighs 155g.
Another notable feature of the Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj is the Scene Auto mode, which allows the COOLPIX to pick the scene mode that is most suited to the various parameters of a shot. It has also accounted for image blur with its five image blur reducing functions. Coupled with the Smart Portrait System, Nikon’s new camera is set to conquer hearts. You can also enhance a person's appearance by getting rid of blemishes using the Skin Softening function provided by this camera.
Nikon also seeks to answer the issue of storing images with safety and security
by enabling users to store and share digital pictures online with its my
Picturetown service. With all these features the Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj can be
expected to attract decent sales. But, the feature Nikon boasts most of its
COOLPIX S1000pj could be its downfall as well. The 10 Lumen output of its
built-in projector means that unless the surroundings are very dark you will not
be able to achieve an appreciable viewing experience.
