Did you let out a low squeal of glee throughout the entirety of Zombieland? Have you spent more time playing Left 4 Dead during the last year than you have socializing? Is World War Z your bible? In short, are you a zombie nerd?
If so, this news from Eurogamer is sure to get your motor running. They've announced that Jeff Strain, the creator of Guild Wars, has created a new company called Undead Labs. Strain and his employees are working on a new zombie-based MMORPG. This game will be out for console only, and will probably be available for both the 360 and PS3.
The focus of this MMO will be working with other players to rebuild civilization. I have visions of shanty-towns and mountainside survivalist fortresses working to fend off massive hordes of shuffling undead. Players might also have a chance to control zombies, although Strain was careful not to give away any more information than that.
There's no set release date for this game yet, but we probably won't see it before 2012. Still, this is awesome news. Until this game launches, we'll have to be content with online Left 4 Dead 2 matches.
