The camera also offers a really fast 4.7 Frames Per Second capture speed and 1/6000 second maximum shutter speeds which are provided with the help of the high end PENTAX PRIME II image processing engine. The image processing properties of the camera include: Digital Filter functions, Cross Process mode, and High-precision 11-point AF sensor.

Other features of the device include powerful automatic modes, such as the PENTAX Auto Picture and scene modes, which ensure the perfect shot in any situation, and also helps new photographers learn the DSLR photography technique. The set also hosts a responsive 11 point wide angle SAFOX VIII auto focusing system that focuses quickly and accurately, and can easily track moving subjects, adding to the comfort of the user.
