The Amazon Cyber Monday Sale features an Apple iPod touch 2G (2nd Generation) for $158. The deal made this iPod the 2nd most selling electronics item on Amazon.
It is really a great deal if you think about it. The only difference between the new 8GB iPod 3G (3rd Generation) and this iPod touch is the installed OS version.
The new 8GB iPod touch 3G has the same hardware as the iPod touch 2G. Only the 16GB and 32GB iPod touch 3G have upgraded hardware.

The only thing you have to add to the cost of $158 is the $4.95 you have to pay Apple to upgrade the iPod touch 2G to the new iPod touch 3.1 software.

The new iPod touch 3G with the 3.1 software pre-installed sells for $181.99 on Amazon. You save almost $20.
