VIZIO, again America's #1 LCD HDTV Company, announced today that U.S. consumers purchased over 280,000 VIZIO HDTVs during the week of Black Friday 2009.
This was a 40% increase over VIZIO's Black Friday sales in 2008. Vizio attributes this success to features such as TruLED backlights with Smart Dimming, fast 120/240Hz refresh rates and a full product range from 19" to 55".
"Thanks to the strength and efficiency of our valued retail partners such as Costco Wholesale, Sam's Club, Walmart, Target, BJ's Wholesale, Sears, DELL, Nebraska Furniture Mart, BrandsMart, and Tiger Direct, VIZIO has achieved another record-breaking year of Black Friday sales of HDTVs, Blu-ray players, high definition sound bars and high performance HDMI cables," stated Laynie Newsome VIZIO Co-founder and V.P. Sales and Marketing Communications.
VIZIO has maintained the #1 U.S. LCD ranking through the third quarter of 2009 (according to iSuppli), and had twice the Q3 shipment volume of Sony in the U.S. VIZIO now has more than 12 million U.S. households who own VIZIO HDTVs.
