The Live Action Flying Duck Hunt is not a video game but a live-action
shooting game. It lets you hunt a flying mechanical duck with the help of
a harmless infrared gun. The duck only needs to charge briefly on the barrel of
the gun before he’s ready to fly, providing a fun and challenging target for
even the most experienced marksmen. The Live Action Flying Duck is perfect for
ages 10 and up and even more perfect for the whole family.
The Live Action Flying Duck's 6" long Mylar wings flap up and down nearly 500
times per minute, holding it aloft for nearly 20 feet. It can even be set to fly
in an erratic left- or right-turning circle or a level, straight line.
Sharp-eyed hunters can take aim with the infrared gun—the first two hits merely
stun the waterfowl, momentarily interrupting his flapping; the third hit downs
the duck for good. The single-shot blaster has a 20' range and makes a loading
sound with each pump.
The Live Action Flying Duck Hunt game really is as much fun as it looks like and
maybe more. It is like the retro Nintendo game but the coolest part of this one
is that it’s a live action shooting game with an infrared blaster. It allows you
to imagine the real experience and offers up a similar (albeit more intense)
mixture of thrills, unpredictability and satisfaction—except this way you don't
actually have to kill anything. Plus, the action sounds the gun makes when
pumping it and pulling the trigger are a nice touch.
The Live Action Flying Duck Hunt game is fun in short increments. The typical
flight lasted anywhere between 5 and 15 seconds depending on how you set the
directional control pad near the tail. The flights may be inconsistent and it
can be difficult to get hits before the duck glided naturally to the ground. The
provider says you can play this game indoors, and that's probably true if
"indoors" happens to be a gymnasium. After several fights the game may be very
boring because of functionality. You may get tired of it.
Great Gift For
The Live Action Flying Duck Hunt is recommended for 10-15 year old kids, but
hey after a couple of beers this is fun for everybody.
