The Amazon Kindle DX is Amazon's 9.7" wireless eBook reading device, ideal for reading newspapers, magazines and college textbooks. The Amazon Kindle is a sleek device and is just as thin as most magazines. It features a large display suitable for a wide range of reading material including graphic rich books, newspapers, blogs, magazines and pdfs. It features sixteen shades of gray which provides crystal clear text and crisp images. The auto rotating display switches automatically from portrait to landscape by sensing its motion. This can be quite helpful in viewing full width maps, graphic images, tables etc.

The Kindle DX’s display makes use of the latest electronic ink technology so that you won’t face any glare or back light problems even in sunlight. It has got a built in PDF reader which allows you to carry all your personal and professional documents with you. Its 3G wireless connectivity enables book downloads in just under 60 seconds. Amazon Kindle offers a huge selection of over 350,000 books. It has got a battery life with which you can read for days on a single battery charge.

The Amazon Kindle DX has an internal memory of about 4GB in which you can store almost 3,500 books, that means a massive library is with you in just 18.9 ounces. The Kindle DX provides wireless connectivity via Whispernet which gives you instant connectivity and fast downloads unlike Wi-Fi you don't have to search for hotspots.

The Amazon Kindle DX offers 2.5 times as much effective space on its display as the Kindle 2. The Kindle DX is much more expensive than the 6-inch Kindle though, and only support U.S. wireless coverage.
