The iPod touch features Apple's multi-touch user interface that enables you to find and enjoy all of your music, videos, and more on its gorgeous widescreen display with just the touch of a finger. Audio format support is unchanged from previous iPods. The iPod touch supports standard and purchased AAC, as well as MP3, Audible, WAV, AIFF, and Apple Lossless formats. Video format support is likewise unaltered from the H.264/MP4 files playable on 5G iPods, as well as the third-generation iPod nano and the iPod classic. The iPod touch supports video resolutions up to 640 by 480 at 30 frames per second, providing an excellent movie viewing experience.

The iPod touch display has an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness to suit the ambient light in your surroundings. An accelerometer detects when you rotate the iPod touch from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display so you immediately see the entire width of a web page, your music in Cover Flow, or a photo in its proper aspect ratio.

The iPod touch has many apps to entertain you to the fullest. Some interesting and notable features about this iPod touch are the multi-touch interface, vibrant 3.5" color touch screen, and normal headphone jack—not recessed like on the iPhone.
