Acer A1 Smartphone Ships In UK

The A1 Liquid is Acer's first stab at an Android handset. It gained some early notoriety for packing an (underclocked) 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. While the A1 isn't out in the States yet, those of you over in the UK have the option of ordering it right now through Clove. As Phandroid notes, today is the first day the A1 ships. It'll cost you 286 pounds. The A1 packs a Snapdragon processor, underclocked to 768 MHz, a 3.5" touch screen, 5 MP camera, 256 MB of RAM, and WiFi. The Liquid definitely loses some coolness points for having an under-clocked processor, but it's still one of the best smartphones out there. Count your blessings this holiday season, UK Android fans.
