The new chip was optimized for 802.11n speed rates on WiFi with special attention to WiFi operating while servicing Bluetooth devices. Broadcom says there is minimal or no impact to WiFi when serving Bluetooth devices.
The chip gives enough Bluetooth bandwidth for a mouse and a headset to operate at once without affecting WiFi speeds. The new chips are shipping now to major notebook and netbook makers and will be shown off at CES next month.
