Amazon touts the Kindle eBook reader as the most wished for gift by Amazon customers.
This would mean the chances that you are giving a great gadget gift with the Kindle are a bit better than say with the Circulation Improving Leg Wraps. Seriously, I think the Kindle is a great eBook reader. The important question to ask though, is if an eBook reader is something for the person you want to make happy. In my opinion eBook readers are only for power readers. Bookworms will love it as they can have tons of books with them at all times and download new ones almost anywhere.
For casual readers the good old paper book is still the best solution. eBook readers are still an early adopter device despite Amazon apparently selling tons of Kindles.
If you give the Kindle as a gift, make sure you select gift to make sure the device ships unregistered.
More details about the Kindle can be found on Amazon.
