DDD, maker of the TriDef 3D technology that you can find supported on the new Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D Notebook has launched a 3D movie download service.
One of the major barriers for wide-spread 3D adoption, besides having to wear 3D glasses, is missing content.
Yabazam is trying to change that and offers up a 3D content catalog consisting of diverse movies.
There are animated features, music videos, documentaries and more. Yabazam fails miserably at over coming the barrier of missing 3D content though. The service just highlights how little 3D content is actually available. You can choose from 18 titles in total and you even have to pay for most of them.
The photo above features Garfield's Pet Force, which is not released yet. Anyway, lets hope this situation changes soon. CES 2010 is supposed to be all about 3D Technology for consumers.
The Yabazam 3D movie service only delivers content in the Tridef format. You need the TriDef 3D Media Player to play it. The Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D Notebook has the TriDef player pre-installed and the Hyundai 3D monitors have it bundled. More details on Yabazam and the TriDef site.
