As reported earlier Walmart will have a 3-Day Zhu Zhu Pets sale in-stores starting Monday, December 21st.
Walmart actually posted a photo of Zhu Zhu Pets stock coming in via airplanes before the announcement on TwitPic. This apparently contributed to getting the sale on the local news. You can watch this report on 40/29 TV for instance.
The Walmart Zhu Zhu Pets sale can be seen as controversial as you can only get one Hamster per day and depending on the store size you can expect 20 or 60 hamsters in stock on each sales day.
Considering the demand, you'll have to be really lucky or camp in front of a Walmart store each night to get one. A Zhu Zhu hamster alone is not that much fun, you also need some playsets.
3rd party prices have actually come down quite a bit and you can get a Zhu Zhu hamster for less than $20 on Amazon. Of course the $8 price Walmart offers for a Zhu Zhu hamster is still way lower and unbeatable. Good luck getting one.
