Apple has issued a firmware update for the new 27-inch iMac computers that is supposed to fix graphics issues.
The 27-inch iMac Graphics Firmware Update 1.0 updates the graphics firmware on ATI Radeon HD 4670 and 4850 graphics cards to address issues that may cause image corruption or display flickering.
As reported shipments of the 27-inch iMacs have been halted and Apple currently states a 2 week shipping time frame.
Besides graphics issues there have been reports of broken iMacs arriving at customers. I assume Apple is currently busy fixing all the iMac features and once shipping is back to 24 hours all issues should be resolved.
