I'll admit it; I'm madly in love with the Fujitsu Lifebook UH900. Maybe it's the 5.6" multitouch screen, or the Intel Z530 processor or the 64 GB SSD. Whatever the exact reason is, I want a UH900 and I want it bad. And so will you after watching this UMPC Fever video of the LifeBook's multitouch in action (via SlashGear). The UH900 was also benchmarked by the UMPC folks. They found that its 1.6 GHz processor was almost as fast as the 1.86 GHz Sony Vaio P's processor. A great deal of this exceptional speed is credited to the gadget's 64 GB SSD. This first test of the UH900's responsiveness and speed shows an extremely promising gadget. And the video shows us that the UH900's multitouch, at least in that app, is working extremely well. There didn't seem to be any lag, although the zooming does take place an instant after the gesture itself is made. We'll need to see more video of the LifeBook in action to make a thorough judgement, but so far everything seems excellent. This wonder-MID is set to launch in early 2010. No details on price, release date, or if we can expect this thing to come subsidized by a carrier have been released yet.
