Even if it wasn't good for the environment, devices that reduce the amount of electricity sucked away by your gadgets would at least be prudent. Less power used is less power paid for, after all. iGo specializes in green power management, and they've got a bunch of new devices that use their iGo tip technology coming to CES 2010. These chargers shut off when not actively in use, and can be adjusted by the owner to follow different stand-by powering rules.
At CES 2010 we'll get a look at the Power Smart Tower, a surge protector with four reduced energy consumption outlets, four "always on" outlets, and two USB ports. We'll also get to see the Power Smart Wall, a wall-mounted surge protector with two iGo Green reduced consumption outlets and two "always on" outlets. The Laptop Anywhere charger saves you power anywhere; it works in your home, car, or on the airplane. Lastly, the Charge Anywhere wall charger has an internal battery and is meant for extended travel.
CES 2010 will start on 7th of January 2010 and lasts until 10th. Of course CES news are already pouring in. Read them in our CES 2010 section.
